$22.8-Million Woodruff Gift Backs Georgia State U. Media Hub

Georgia State University will turn an unused Atlanta building into a center for creative industries with a $22.8-million gift from the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation, the Atlanta Business Chronicle and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution write.

The money will be used to renovate the three-story building, which formerly served as the lobby for Atlanta-based SunTrust Bank, into a home for the university's Creative Media Industries Institute. The institute, launched this fall, offers programs and partnership opportunities to prepare students for careers in the arts and digital production.
