$40-Million Lilly Grant Boosts Tech Projects at Purdue U.

The Lilly Endowment is providing a $40-million cash infusion to Purdue University to back engineering, technology, and library projects, the Lafayette Journal & Courier writes.

The largest segments of the grant announced Wednesday are $13.5-million for a 75,000-square-foot Flex Lab in the College of Engineering to foster advanced, collaborative research, and $13-million for an Innovation Design Center for engineering and technology students to develop design projects. Both facilities are slated to open in 2017.
