Alumni Endow Coaching Position at Notre Dame University

Karen Keyes, a former basketball player at Notre Dame University, a her husband Kevin, also an alumnus, donated $5 million to endow the women’s basketball head coach job at their alma mater, reports The New York Times.

The gift, the first coaching endowment in the university’s history, will benefit Muffet McGraw, who has coached the women’s team since Ms. Keyes played on it in the late 1980s. Notre Dame will invest the donation and use the interest to help pay Ms. McGraw’s salary.
