Biggest Jewish Charity Lifts Fundraising 10% to $207 Million

UJA-Federation of New York raised $207.8 million in the 12 months that ended June 30, a 10 percent increase from the previous fiscal year, reports the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

The federation is the world's largest Jewish charitable body and works with almost 100 beneficiary groups in the United States and abroad. The organization raised $150.8 million in its fiscal 2014 capital campaign, $33.9 million from planned giving and endowments and $23.1 million for particular projects and efforts. Total giving exceeded the fiscal 2013 figure by $21.8 million.
