Boston Nonprofits Find New Ways to Attract Millennials

An article in The Boston Globe shares some of the strategies local nonprofits are using to attract millennials to support their causes.

Among the ideas that have worked are getting people involved in young professional groups or committees, providing "something tangible" for them them to do, and offering opportunities for them to get involved with charities through the workplace.

Though 18- to 32-year-olds contribute only about 11 percent of total charitable giving, according to a Blackbaud study cited in the article, the value of developing strong relationships with this generatoin could lead to more giving down the road.
