Former Philadelphia Nonprofit Group Charged With Defrauding $85,000

The former head of a Philadelphia nonprofit has been charged with withdrawing more than $85,000 from the group's bank account for personal use, Philly.com reports.

Rodnell Griffin, who led the Hunting Park Neighborhood Advisory Committee, used the organization's bank cards more then 500 times between January and October 2013 to withdraw funds. At least 10 of the ATMs used were in local casinos.

Mr. Griffin was charged with wire fraud in connection with a scheme to defraud the organization.
