A $10 million challenge grant to the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy for construction and renovation projects.
Strada Education Network
$6.5 million to the Jackie Robinson Foundation to support 30 scholarship students, expand the organization’s college-success program, and help underwrite the construction of the Jackie Robinson Museum.
James M. Cox Foundation
$2.5 million over five years to the East Lake Foundation to support early-childhood education at the Charles R. Drew Charter School in Atlanta.
Charles Koch Foundation
$2.2 million over four years to the University of Pennsylvania Law School
’s Quattrone Center for the Fair Administration of Justice for research on reforming the criminal-justice system.
Delta Dental of Colorado
$1.5 million for equipment, scholarships, and other support to dental-hygiene programs offered by the Colorado Community College System.
New grant opportunities:
The Knight Prototype Fund is offering multiple grants of up to $50,000 from a pool totaling $1 million to individuals, nonprofits, start-ups, and established companies with innovative ideas for improving the flow of accurate information and public trust in journalism. The Knight Foundation, the Democracy Fund, and the Rita Allen Foundation are providing $1 million for the grants. Applications are due by April 3. For more information, click here.
Action for Healthy Kids is offering $1.64 million in grants to schools that are expanding breakfast and health and wellness programs. The application deadline is April 7. Click here for more information.
