Montclair State U. Gets $20 Million Gift for Business School

Montclair State University in New Jersey has received an anonymous $20 million donation to support expansion of its School of Business, NJ Advance Media writes.

The gift, announced Wednesday, will boost entrepreneurship, accounting, sports events, tourism marketing, business analytics, forensic accounting, real estate, and other programs at the business school, which will open a new, 143,000-square-foot building in September.

The Montclair, N.J., institution — the state's second-largest four-year residential university with 20,000 students — has ramped up fundraising in recent years, adding development staff to help draw large gifts and nearly doubling its endowment from $30 million in 2006 to $56 million in 2013.
