Planned Parenthood Federation of America
Alexis McGill Johnson, acting president and CEO of the federation and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund since last summer, will continue in her position on a permanent basis. Previously she was co-founder of the Perception Institute and a former chair of Planned Parenthood’s Board of Directors.
Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta
Frank Fernandez will become president and CEO of the $1.2 billion community foundation next month. He will follow Alicia Philipp, who has led the foundation for 43 years and is now retiring.
Fernandez is currently senior vice president at the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.
Sobrato Philanthropies
Sandy Herz will become its president, effective August 15. Currently she is vice president of partnerships and engagement at the Skoll Foundation. This philanthropic group in Silicon Valley includes the Sobrato Family Foundation, which has $295 million in assets.
Workers Lab
Adrian Haro, interim CEO since November, has accepted the role permanently. Previously he was managing director and succeeded its founder, Carmen Rojas, who is now head of the Marguerite Casey Foundation.
More New CEOs
Carolina García Jayaram, president and CEO of United States Artists, has become the founding executive director of the Elevate Prize Foundation, which will award $5 million in grants to 10 leaders worldwide who are successful in addressing major global problems.
Andrés Jimenez, senior director of government affairs at Citizens Climate Lobby, will now serve as executive director of Green 2.0, a nonprofit group that campaigns to increase racial diversity among environmental organizations. He succeeds Whitney Tome, who is now a principal at the Raben Group.
Nikki Pitre, acting director of the Center for Native American Youth at the Aspen Institute since February, has been installed permanently as executive director. Prior to her promotion, she was associate director and program manager at the center.
Caryn Tomljanovich, director of programs and strategy at Princeton AlumniCorps, has been promoted to executive director of this nonprofit group that mobilizes graduates of Princeton University as volunteers for social causes.
Tonya Veasey will be the next president and CEO of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. Most recently she was founder and CEO of Open Channels Group, a communications and marketing firm based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Dan Bamba, grants director at Queens Council on the Arts, has joined Flushing Town Hall as its marketing and community engagement manager.
Stacey Easterling, vice president of programs for the Missouri Foundation for Health, has been chosen as vice president of programs at the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust.
Earl Granger III, associate vice president for development at the College of William and Mary, has been appointed chief development officer and vice president of development at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
Joyce Hendricks, chief philanthropy officer at the Institute of International Education, has joined Hackensack Meridian Health as chief development officer for network philanthropy.
Lori Jacobwith, the author of Nine Steps to a Successful Fundraising Campaign and founder of Ignited Fundraising, has been named director of development and partnerships at the Monroe Institute.
Leslie Johnson is joining the Skirball Cultural Center as executive vice president. Most recently she was director of social strategy, innovation, and impact and chief diversity officer at the Center Theatre Group.
Tito Madrazo, an ordained Baptist pastor who has led congregations in Texas and North Carolina and currently teaches at Duke Divinity School, is joining the Lilly Endowment as a program director in the religion division.
Anna Katrina Olujimi, director of finance and operations at the South Asian Youth Action, has been tapped as chief financial officer at the Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum.
Jun Reina, chief operating officer and chief financial officer at Capital Public Radio, has been promoted to executive vice president and general manager. He succeeds Rick Eytcheson, who led the Sacramento media group since 2006 and is becoming president emeritus.
Anthony Robinson, major-gifts officer at the Cleveland Clinic of Florida, has been named chief development and human resources officer at the Arc of Palm Beach County.
Departures
Ronna Brown intends to step down after 13 years as president of Philanthropy New York at the end of the year.
Bob Conn plans to retire as president and CEO of the Kavli Foundation, effective December 31. He has led the $1 billion foundation in Los Angeles for 12 years.
Daranee Petsod, founding president of Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees, intends to step down later this year after 21 years at the helm.
Aimee Witteman, program director for the McKnight Foundation’s Midwest Climate and Energy program, is departing. She has worked at the foundation since 2010.
