Two Big Gifts Boost New Care Center at St. Jude in Memphis

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has received a $50-million pledge from Sterling Jewelers to support new facilities on the Memphis medical campus, the Memphis Business Journal writes. In recognition of the 10-year gift, a just-opened tower at St. Jude will be named the Kay Research and Care Center, after the Sterling subsidiary Kay Jewelers.

The hospital also received a $20-million commitment from the Eric Trump Foundation to expand its surgery space and capabilities. The Eric Trump Foundation Surgery and ICU Center will be housed inside the Kay center. Mr. Trump is the son of the property magnate and television personality Donald Trump.
