The University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) has a 20-year-old Women & Philanthropy program that has grown substantially in recent years. Below is a data sheet that represents all of the information the program tracks in its database about its women donors. When complete, the form provides a full record of each woman’s participation with the university, from dollars given to committee participation to leadership positions held.
It also tracks each donor’s personal details and preferences for receiving information, e.g., email, mail, telephone. This helps fundraisers for the Women & Philanthropy program provide personal service, such as by sharing event opportunities that appeal to a donor’s interests and making relevant connections with campus leaders.
