John Mulchaey, an astrophysicist and science deputy at the research institution, has been promoted to president.
He joined Carnegie Science in 1994 as a postdoctoral fellow and has served as its interim leader since October.
Archstone Foundation
Rigo Saborio, vice president of programs, equity, and community impact at the SCAN Foundation, will be the next president and CEO of this $107 million foundation, which makes grants to improve the health and well-being of older Californians and their caregivers.
He begins his new role on January 20.
LISC Fund Management
Tiffany Durr, interim president of LISC Fund Management since May, will remain at the helm of this affiliate of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, which guides social investment funds for affordable housing, economic development, and jobs in marginalized communities.
She was previously senior director of fund management at LISC.
Philanthropy for Active Civic Engagement
Shannon Green will become the group’s president and CEO in February.
Currently she is assistant to the administrator for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance at USAID, where she guides programs to protect and promote democracy worldwide.

Hannah Guedenet will now serve as U.S. executive director of Humanity and Inclusion. Most recently she was director of knowledge and learning at Elevate Nutrition, a program of USAID.
Cheryl Katon has become CEO of Emancipet, which operates a network of nonprofit veterinary clinics. She was most recently vice president of development and donor engagement at Fenway Health.
Jenny Lewis, former foundation vice president for the Kimberly-Clark Corporation, has been hired as executive director of the PGA of America Reach Foundation, an organization that promotes golf programs for youths, military veterans, and marginalized communities.
Maria McFarland Sánchez-Moreno, senior legal adviser at Human Rights Watch, will become CEO of RepresentUs on January 6. She replaces its co-founder Joshua Graham Lynn, who will remain with the anti-corruption group on its Board of Directors.
Jordon Voss, managing director of the Seattle office at Northern Trust, has been promoted to president of the Pacific Northwest region. In addition, Jesse Crane has been hired as regional director for the Pacific Northwest for the wealth-management company’s Foundation and Institutional Advisors practice, which guides the investments of its foundation, endowment, and nonprofit clients. Previously he was a vice president at Beacon Pointe.

Tiffini Andorful has been appointed chief programs and membership officer at the National Society of Black Engineers. Most recently she was vice president of partnerships and enrollment at the Relay Graduate School of Education.
Emily Bittner, a senior adviser to Gov. J.B. Pritzker of Illinois, has been named vice president of communications at the Obama Foundation. In addition, Rahshiene Taha has joined the presidential foundation as chief marketing officer. He was previously vice president and head of intellectual-property development and marketing partnerships at Live Nation.
Alicia Graf Mack, dean and director of the Dance Division at the Juilliard School, will become the artistic director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater on July 1.
Michele Kitson, director of mission advancement at St. Marcus Lutheran School, has been named vice president for advancement at Alverno College.
Maggie Martensen, a management consultant in Chicago, will become chief financial officer at the Moody Bible Institute on January 21. She will follow Greg Thornton, who has worked there since 1981 and plans to retire in January.
Ryan Merkel, chief development officer at the Arena Stage, has joined the National Gallery of Art as principal gifts officer.
Joanie O’Bryan, CEO of the Center for Courageous Kids, has been hired as development officer at LifeWorks for Autism.
Scott Roberts, vice president for development at the Oklahoma State University Foundation, was named vice president for university advancement at Colorado State University.
Kelly Salisbury has joined the Home for Little Wanderers as campus director of The Home at Walpole, its program that serves youths ages 12 to 18 in Walpole, Mass. She was previously executive director of the Parkway Community YMCA, where she worked for 22 years.
Victoria St. Martin is now deputy national editor for audience at Capital B, a Black-led nonprofit news organization. She was most recently a health and environmental justice reporter at Inside Climate News.
Mike Wood, chief operating officer at the Spina Bifida Association of America, is now chief operating officer at the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Departures
Cinira Baldi is stepping down after six years as chief development and communications officer at Project HOPE. Tricia Hart, chief development officer at Greenpeace USA, will serve as interim chief development and communications officer until a successor has been named.
Jonathan Martin will retire after seven years as president and CEO of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra on February 16. Robert McGrath, its chief operating officer, will serve as acting president and CEO until a permanent successor has been hired.
