More than 950 leaders in nonprofit and foundation communications and an array of journalists, advocates, researchers, and others are gathering in Atlanta this week to talk about topics such as artificial intelligence and the importance of communications skills for foundation CEOs.

They’ll be there to participate in the annual conference of the Communications Network. Through the Chronicle’s partnership with the network, you can watch the conference keynotes on our live stream on Thursday and Friday. Here’s what’s coming:

Thursday, September 21
(All times Eastern)

8:45 a.m. - 9:50 a.m.: The Story of AI: Aimee Rinehart of the Associated Press and Mikhael Simmonds, executive director at the Center for Community Media at CUNY, discuss artificial intelligence and its implications for nonprofit communications.

5:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.: LaTosha Brown, co-founder of Black Voters Matter, will talk about communications strategies and other efforts that bring people together to deliver change.

Friday, September 22

8:45 a.m. - 9:35 a.m.: The Case for Communications Leadership: Judy Belk and Richard Tate, the current and future CEOs of the California Wellness Foundation, talk about how their work as communicators led them to the corner office

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: Libby Liu and Naomi Seligman, top officials of Whistleblower Aid, winner of the network’s Clarence Jones Impact Award, will offer a detailed case study of their organization’s communications strategy.
