Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg gave nearly $107.2 million to her donor-advised fund at Fidelity Charitable last week.
The gift came in the form of 880,000 shares of Facebook stock sold on Monday, November 21, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing released Wednesday.
Ms. Sandberg hasn’t said where the money will go, but in the past she has supported nonprofits that help women and girls, including Lean In, an organization Ms. Sandberg started to foster female leadership, as well as poverty-fighting efforts and education groups.
