The Home Depot Foundation announced Thursday that it will spend another $250 million by 2025 to support building and improving houses for veterans, helping ex-warriors who are homeless, and other programs to help vets.
With its new commitment, the foundation brings to $500 million the sum it will spend on upgrades to homes for disabled and elderly veterans and helping homeless vets find places to live, among many other things, said Shannon Gerber, executive director of the foundation. The commitment to veterans began in 2011.
