Because The Chronicle updates the data in previous years’ Philanthropy 400 reports, some rankings in past years have changed since publication. Figures may change to correct errors or fill in up-to-date data where it was previously missing

3 Figure includes cash donations to a capital campaign.

4 Figure is for the previous fiscal year.

5 Figures are based on draft financial documents.

7 Organization raised at least half of donations in products.
