JPB Foundation
Rakim Brooks has been named senior vice president of risk and legal strategies at the $2.9 billion foundation.
A public-interest lawyer, Brooks has been president of the Alliance for Justice since 2021. He previously served as a policy adviser for the Treasury Department during Barack Obama’s administration.

Keith Thirion, vice president of strategy, and Betsy Miller Kittredge, vice president of operations and chief of staff, will serve as interim co-presidents following the departure of Rakim Brooks later this year.
GreenLight Fund
Ali Knight will become CEO of the $52 million fund on May 20. Currently he is CEO of Fresh Lifelines for Youth.
Knight will succeed its co-founder Margaret Hall, who is stepping down after 20 years at the helm of this network that helps families living in poverty in cities.
Hudson Institute
Nikki Haley, the former governor of South Carolina who ran against Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primary this year, is joining the conservative think tank in Washington.
She will hold the Walter P. Stern Chair.

Ryan Eller, interim executive director of the Appalachia Funders Network, will remain in the role permanently. Previously he was president of the Beloved Community Foundation.
Ciara Garcia will be the next CEO of Social Venture Partners International. She has been CEO of the organization’s affiliate in Tucson since 2016.
Alasdair Harris, founding executive director of Blue Ventures, has been tapped as director of the Ocean Resilience and Climate Alliance, a new $300 million conservation effort that was created in December by 12 major grant makers.
George Scheer, executive director of the Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans, has become executive director of the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts. He follows Jane Stephenson, who has led the organization since its founding 32 years ago and is now departing.
Liz Schurgin has been hired as executive director of the Greater D.C. Diaper Bank. She is a nonprofit leadership consultant who previously led the D.C. Youth Orchestra Program until 2022.

Warren Bailey, chief technology officer at PG Calc, has been named chief information security officer at Foundation Source, a company that provides cloud-based solutions for private foundations and planned giving. Lou D’Addario has also joined the company as chief revenue officer. Previously he was managing director and head of sales for the Americas at Charles River Development.
Ben Beisswenger has been appointed chief technology officer at the Doris Duke Foundation. Most recently he was senior director of internal technology products at the Emerson Collective, the grant-making entity of the Apple billionaire Laurene Powell Jobs.
James Thomas Corey, assistant vice president for development at American University, has been named vice president for university advancement and alumni engagement at the University of Tulsa.
Alison DeCourcey, president and CEO at United Community, will be the next chief development officer at Good360.
Kamara Jones has become deputy chief communications and marketing officer at the American Civil Liberties Union. Previously she was principal deputy assistant secretary of public affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Monique LeNoir has been promoted from national director of communications to vice president for branding, marketing, and communications at the United Negro College Fund.
Xiomara Peña, vice president of programs and engagement at Small Business Majority, has been appointed vice president of innovation and community engagement at Hispanas Organized for Political Equality.
