A children’s hospital in Kansas City has received $150 million for pediatric research.
The Hall Family Foundation and the Sunderland Foundation each donated $75 million to Children’s Mercy Hospital to begin construction on the future home of the Children’s Research Institute and to recruit top researchers to the new facility. The hospital broke ground on Thursday.
Randall O’Donnell, CEO of the hospital, said he hopes the donation helps put Children’s Mercy among the best pediatric research hospitals in the world.
