The Koret Foundation announced $50 million in grants to support scholarships, research, medical programs, and a variety of other projects at 12 Northern California colleges, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.
The largest of awards, to be doled out over five years, were $11 million to University of California at Berkeley to launch an undergraduate research program and support research at its planned new campus and $10 million to Stanford University for its Koret Young Israeli Scholars program and a new neuroscience-research complex.
