The human-rights activist Kumi Naidoo will now serve as the organization’s president.

He was secretary-general of Amnesty International until 2019. More recently, he was a fellow at the Robert Bosch Academy, in Berlin, where he produced a film on the roles of art and activism in addressing climate change.

Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative

A veteran journalist, she served as CEO of the Center for Public Integrity until 2021.

Yosemite Conservancy

Cassius Cash will be the next president and CEO of the fundraising organization for the Yosemite National Park. When he begins his new role in January, he will follow Frank Dean, who is stepping down after nine years as its leader.

Cash has worked at the National Park Service for the past 15 years, most recently as superintendent of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

More New CEOs

Amy Fettig, deputy director, and Robin Olsen, chief of staff, will now serve as co-executive directors of Fair and Just Prosecution. They succeed its founder, Miriam Krinsky, who has led the criminal-justice group since 2017.

Karen Lundgard, chief operating officer, has stepped up as interim CEO of the Girl Scouts of Greater New York.

Audra Moran will remain president and CEO of the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance following its merger with the Clearity Foundation on January 1. Hillary Theakston, executive director of Clearity Foundation, will stay on as a consultant for the first year.

Ted Qualli, director of marketing and communications at the Philadelphia Foundation, will now serve as president and CEO of the Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia, a community foundation with $50 million in assets.

Other Notable Appointments

Shelley Binder, associate director of special gifts at the Workers Circle, has been promoted to director of development.

James Hugh Haskins was promoted from assistant vice president for development to vice president for college advancement at Hampden-Sydney College. He is a 2001 graduate of the men’s college in Virginia.

Anthony Heaven, vice president and higher-education practice group leader at the consulting firm Graham-Pelton, has been appointed assistant professor of philanthropic studies, philanthropy, and justice at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

George Kosar, assistant vice president of institutional partnerships at Georgetown University, has been named associate vice president of development at the Everglades Foundation.

Sarah Lackritz has joined the Center for Disaster Philanthropy as vice president of brand and storytelling. She was most recently vice president of marketing and communications at Equal Justice Works.

Meridith Maskara, CEO of the Girl Scouts of Greater New York, is now chief development officer at the Girl Scouts of the USA.

Emily Shooltz, associate artistic director at Ars Nova, will become artistic director of Signature Theatre on November 1. She will succeed Paige Evans, who has led the Off-Broadway company since 2016.
