Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts
Mariko Silver, president and CEO of the Henry Luce Foundation, will begin as the New York performing-arts group’s president and CEO on September 23.
She follows Henry Timms, who has led the Lincoln Center since 2019 and is now departing to become CEO of the Brunswick Group, a public-relations firm.
Press Forward
Caroline Merenda, chief of staff at CFLeads, is now program and operations manager at the $500 million grant-making effort to bolster local journalism.
In addition, Melissa Milios Davis will start in September as network manager. Currently she is head of the Colorado Media Project, one of Press Forward’s first local chapters.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul
Michael Acaldo will become CEO of the Catholic antipoverty organization’s national headquarters on October 1.
He has been CEO of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Diocesan Council of Baton Rouge since 1990.

Kate Azizi, vice president for institutional advancement at the Medical University South Carolina, has joined Oregon Health and Science University as president of the OHSU Foundation.
Angela Gieras, executive director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre, has been named executive director of the Shakespeare Theatre Company. She will begin her new role on September 13. Gieras follows Rebecca Ende Lichtenberg, who exited in March after one month at its helm.
Michael Goar, president and CEO of Catholic Charities of St. Paul-Minneapolis, has become president and CEO of the Sisters of Charity Health System. He succeeds Jan Murphy, who has departed after three years at the helm.
Kelli Tolf will now serve as president of World Concern, a Christian global relief and development organization. Most recently she was vice president of donor relations at Crista Ministries.

Mary Lou Fulton, a consultant and former director of narrative strategies at the California Endowment, is now director of communications at the California Wellness Foundation.
Megan Hodges, principal at MegRhi Creates, and Helen Kim Kress, a senior consultant at Schultz & Williams, have joined the Heller Group as senior consultants.
Siobhan King has been promoted from case manager to senior director of the homeless families program at the Urban Resource Institute. In addition, Charnell Neptune-Darby has been hired as senior director of domestic violence residential programs. Previously she was senior director at Safe Horizon, where she led its shelter program.
Natalie Oswald, advancement manager at Austin Opera, has joined the Pacific Chorale as associate director of development.
Jacob Rissler, director of institutional advancement at Mid-Plains Community College, has been named vice president for advancement at Adams State University.
Olivia Scanlon, a consultant at CCS Fundraising, will be the first chief advancement officer at the Tree of Life, a Philadelphia organization dedicated to countering antisemitism.
Frances Teves, interim vice president for university advancement at California State Polytechnic University at Pomona since March, will remain in the post permanently.
Mark Wattley, chief people officer at Cooler Screens, has joined the Rockefeller Foundation as senior vice president and chief people officer.
Departure
Brian Edelman will retire after 10 years as president of the Purdue Research Foundation. He plans to depart in early 2025.
Legacy
Sheila McNeill, who was the first woman to serve as national president of the Navy League, died on August 5 at age 81. She worked at the organization for 58 years, and was previously national vice president for legislative affairs, national director of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, and a member of the National Maritime Policy Committee.
