Chris Palombo will become the global health organization’s next president and CEO later this month. Most recently he was CEO of Dispensary of Hope.
Palombo will overlap with Steve Stirling, who has led the group since 2014 and will retire on April 1, 2025.
Direct Relief
Thomas Tighe plans to step down in December after 24 years as president and CEO of the humanitarian-aid group.
A successor has not yet been named.
Theatre Communications Group
Emilya Cachapero and LaTeshia Ellerson have been promoted to serve as co-executive directors of the organization.
Cachapero, director of grant-making programs, will become co-executive director of national and global programming.
Ellerson, director of institutional philanthropy and interim chief growth officer for the past seven months, has been promoted to co-executive director of national engagement.

Suzanne Appel will become managing director and co-CEO of the South Coast Repertory, beginning in September. She will lead the California theater group alongside its artistic director, David Ivers. Currently she is the managing director of New York’s Vineyard Theatre.
Jennifer Doyle has been promoted from vice president of philanthropy and community investment to president and CEO of the Foundation for Enhancing Communities. She has worked at the $131 million foundation in Pennsylvania since 2008, and has served as its interim leader since the beginning of the year.
Aswan Morris, regional director of Young Life’s Bronx and Manhattan Region, has become executive director of the Riverside Hawks Program, a basketball nonprofit for young people from New York’s Washington Heights, Harlem, and Bronx neighborhoods.

Rodney Butler, a financial and operations consultant to the organization, has joined the staff as chief financial and administrative officer
Suzanne Romaine, director of development at One Step Beyond, has been appointed chief development and growth officer.
Pedro Vega Jr. was promoted from chief creative officer to chief programs and content officer.

Erin Brown has been promoted from vice president of community investment and impact to chief impact officer at the Colorado Health Foundation. Jennifer Chheang, managing director of grantmaking effectiveness at the California Endowment, has been hired to replace her as vice president of community investment and impact.
Kimberly Cantor, a consultant who focuses on patient advocacy and community engagement, has been appointed chief external affairs officer at the National Alliance for Caregiving.
Anthony Gesualdi, government-relations director at Delta Dental of Massachusetts, is now associate vice president of conservation policy at the New England Aquarium.
Taylor Hebble was promoted from chief marketing officer to chief development officer at Hope for Haiti.
Theresa (Terri) Law will become vice president for institutional advancement at Indiana Tech on September 3. Currently she is executive vice president for student and donor engagement at New Mexico Highlands University and executive director of the NMHU Foundation.
Jatinder Palta will be the first director of the Medical Physics Institute at the American Association of Physicists in Medicine. Most recently he was a professor and chairman of medical physics for Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Radiation Oncology.
Nikhil Pillai, legal counsel for the Tides Network, has been hired as vice president of legal affairs at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. In addition, Kimy Ruiz Seitz has joined the $13.8 billion community fund as vice president of investment operations. Previously she was assistant vice president at the investment bank Morgan Stanley.
Lindsay Weiner, senior manager of events at the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, has been hired as director of distinguished events at the U.S. Soccer Foundation.
Departures
Ronald Griffith will retire as president, CEO, and general counsel of Century Housing on September 2. He has worked there since 1998 and has led the affordable- and supportive-housing nonprofit since 2007.
Mary Mélon-Tully will retire after 10 years as president and CEO of the Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation on December 31.
Ron Werft, president and CEO of Cottage Health, plans to retire in 2025. He has worked at the California health group for 37 years, including 24 years as its leader.
