The financier and his wife support a range of causes. Through their foundation, they focus on two core areas: research and clinical programs that aim to improve the treatment and prevention of hereditary cancers and efforts that expand under-served New York youths’ access to education, health care, and enrichment opportunities.
The Grays directed $25 million through their foundation last year to support research teams at Columbia University, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Mayo Clinic, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology that are studying new approaches to detect and prevent inherited cancers.
