National Park Foundation
Jeff Reinbold will be its next president and CEO. He has worked at the National Park Service for more than 30 years, most recently as superintendent of National Mall and Memorial Parks.
Reinbold will join the foundation on December 1 and overlap with Will Shafroth until his planned departure on February 1.
In August, the foundation received $100 million from the Lilly Endowment toward its $1 billion fundraising campaign. Read more about the unrestricted grant in the Chronicle.

Carnegie Corporation of New York
Stephen Del Rosso, senior program director of international peace and security, will be promoted to vice president of its international program, effective January 1.
He will succeed Deana Arsenian, who is retiring after nearly 30 years there.
Cause Effective
Sonya Shields has departed after one year as its executive director and president. Shyla Rivera, senior director of human capital and operations, will serve as acting executive director during its search for a permanent successor.
In addition, David McGoy has been promoted from director of strategic growth to vice president of programs and strategic growth. He has worked there since 2017.
More New CEOs
Megan Barrett has been promoted from director of operations to executive director of Engineering Tomorrow. She succeeds Timothy McNiff, who has led the group since 2019 and is now retiring.
Suzanne Currie, a financial adviser at TD Wealth, has joined the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award USA as CEO.
Dieter Fenkart-Froeschl will become president and CEO of the National Forest Foundation on November 1. Currently he is chief operating officer at the National Park Foundation.
Branislav Henselmann will begin as executive director of the San Francisco Ballet in November. Most recently he was deputy general manager of arts, culture, and community Services for the City of Vancouver, in Canada.
Jessie Krafft, interim president and CEO of the Charities Aid Foundation America since January, will remain at the helm permanently. She has worked there since 2011.
Other Notable Appointments
Brian Brunner, assistant vice president for advancement at Lindenwood University, has been named vice president for development at Saginaw Valley State University.
Nikki Drevich has joined the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities as chief development officer. Most recently she was vice president for foundation relations at Feeding America.
Ann Eubank, who recently earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, has been hired as a senior associate on the impact-investing team at GEM, an investment-management firm for endowments, foundations, wealthy families, and other investors. In addition, Angelica Nikolausson has joined the firm as a managing director for impact investing. Most recently she was managing director of environmental, social, and governance advisory at UBS.
Masha Katz Bear, interim director of development at the Center for Constitutional Rights since November, will remain in the role permanently. She was hired as deputy director of development in May 2023.
Jamie Zeigler has been promoted from national director of anti-trafficking mobile teams to executive director of anti-trafficking at One More Child. She is based in Raleigh, N.C., and will oversee its programs that offer direct services to survivors of human trafficking in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Tennessee.
Departures
Karen Knudsen plans to step down as CEO of the American Cancer Society. She has led the organization since 2021 and will stay on as an executive strategic adviser through early 2025 during its search for her successor.
Lil Breul O’Rourke, president of the University of Rhode Island Foundation and Alumni Engagement since 2016, will retire at the end of the year.
