Doug Walker, a Seattle-area tech entrepreneur, conservationist, and philanthropist who helped launch donor network Social Venture Partners, was found dead Friday after a hiking accident, The Seattle Times reports.
Mr. Walker, 65, had been reported missing Thursday after failing to return from a snowshoe trek on Granite Mountain, a peak in the Cascade Range friends said he had climbed at least 200 times. King County, Wash., authorities said he was probably caught in an avalanche near the top of the mountain.
