John Brothers, founder of Quidoo Consulting, a company that helps nonprofits with management issues, will lead the T. Rowe Price Foundation and its Program for Charitable Giving. He will take over from the president of both organizations, Ann Allston Boyce, who will retire on June 1.

The financial services firm’s foundation has given $83.7 million since its founding in 1981, including $3.1 million last year. The grant maker largely supports charities in the cities where it has offices (Baltimore, Colorado Springs, and Tampa) and focuses on K-12 education for disadvantaged youths, the arts, human services, and civic organizations. Its Program for Charitable Giving creates donor-advised funds for T. Rowe Price clients and has made nearly $180 million in grants since its founding in 2000. Its assets reached more than $188 million as of the end of last year.
