Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine shared this annual budget that it includes with foundation grant proposals seeking general operating support. Sixteen percent of the group’s $600,000 budget comes from grants.
The Camden, Me., nonprofit lists its largest expenses first.
“We want to focus on what the funder is putting their money towards,” says Alex Gaeth, the nonprofit’s chief executive. “One of the things we want to explain the most is our staff salaries and wages because that’s 70 percent of our budget.”
