Walton Family Foundation
Tanya Odom will serve as its equity and inclusion program director, a newly created role at the $5.6 billion foundation.
She is a global leadership consultant who works with nonprofit groups and nongovernmental organizations, including several U.N. agencies, and co-author of the book Evaluation in the Field of Education for Democracy, Human Rights, and Tolerance.
National Human Services Assembly
Victor Valentine has been tapped as executive director. He is the founder and CEO of Nfrastruct, an organization that helps nonprofits strengthen their management.
Population Institute
Kathleen Mogelgaard has been named its president and CEO. Most recently she was a senior fellow at the institute and principal of KAM Consulting.
Mogelgaard succeeds Robert Walker, who is retiring after 12 years.

Jeffery Beckham Jr., interim CEO at Chicago Scholars since December, will continue in the role permanently. Previously he was its vice president of partnerships.
Following the merger of ZERO—the End of Prostate Cancer with Us Too International, Jamie Bearse will serve as president and CEO of the combined group, which will operate as ZERO. He has worked at the prostate-cancer organization since 2002.
Brant Lingle has been appointed executive director of the Twilight Wish Foundation, which grants special requests for older people who reside in nursing homes or live in poverty. He has most recently served as executive director of Grace Church, in Bethlehem, Pa.
Jamie Rogers Southern, who has served as interim executive director of Bookmarks since October, has been permanently installed as executive director of the literary-arts nonprofit group. She was previously its operations director for nine years.
Everytown for Gun Safety
Keenon James has been hired as director of the Everytown Survivor Network, its community of gun-violence survivors working for violence prevention. Previously he was deputy director of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives.
In addition, Debbie Weir has been promoted to chief mission officer. She has spent three years as senior managing director of organizing and engagement at Moms Demand Action, Everytown’s grassroots group of parent activists.
Kresge Foundation
The $3.8 billion foundation has hired two new program staff members.
Erika Brice has joined as social investment officer. Most recently she was founding principal at Rector Development, a company that develops commercial real estate in Kansas City, Mo., and principal at the SI12 Group, a real-estate development consulting firm, also in Kansas City.
Erica Browne, a faculty affiliate for health policy and management at the California Initiative for Health Equity and Action, will now be health program officer.

John D’Angelo has been tapped as director of the Environmental, Social, and Governance Office at M&T Bank, a new division at the company. Previously he was the bank’s executive vice president and chief risk officer.
Kendra Fox-Davis, a lawyer who worked on systemwide Title IX compliance in the University of California’s Office of the President, has been appointed chief program officer at the Rosenberg Foundation.
Sophia Holder was named executive vice president and chief financial officer at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She was most recently vice president of finance at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Sohel Hussain, middle office manager for North America at the global investment management firm PIMCO, will now be director of investment operations at the Meyer Memorial Trust, overseeing its $1 billion endowment.
Geoff Nagle, president and CEO of the Erikson Institute in Chicago, has been appointed chief of external impact at Clayton Early Learning.
Alana Ryder, manager of public and university programs at the Wexner Center for the Arts at Ohio State University, has joined the Art Bridges Foundation as director of the Art Bridges Fellows Program. She will also oversee its internship program.
Alexandra Stabler has joined the Montecito Journal Media Group as director of partnerships for its philanthropic publication, The Giving List. Most recently she was senior global marketing manager at the entertainment agency Endeavor.
Departures
Vandana Tilak has departed as CEO of Akshaya Patra USA after three years there.
David Yarnold will step down after 11 years as CEO of the National Audubon Society, effective May 14. Elizabeth Gray, president and chief conservation officer, will serve as interim CEO during the search for a successor.
Legacy
Vartan Gregorian, president of the Carnegie Corporation of New York since 1997, died on April 15 at the age of 87. He previously led Brown University and the New York Public Library. Read more about Gregorian’s legacy in the philanthropic world.
