Brandolon Barnett is author of “Dreams Deferred: Recession, Struggle, and the Quest for a Better World.” He serves as head of innovation and philanthropy at Giving Compass and is founder of The Regular App. Barnett volunteers as a board member with Spur Local (formerly the Catalogue for Philanthropy in Washington, D.C.) and is a trustee for World Learning, a global education nonprofit. He is also a mentor and “angel investor” supporting entrepreneurs of color.
