
Michael Brown
Senior Director of Development
Michael Brown brings more than 20 years of experience in fundraising and nonprofit management to the Chronicle of Philanthropy. Throughout his career, Michael has helped strengthen the nonprofit sector’s ability to tackle challenging problems and identify pathways for change through partnership. Previously, he held management-level positions at the Wildlife Conservation Society and Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation before leading an internationally based development team as global director of institutional relations at the Rainforest Alliance. Michael graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
