Communications Associate


Wide-ranging opportunity for a special executive at top rated, small, aggressive, not-for-profit dedicated to fundraising for disease research. Upper Manhattan location.


-Assist in all aspects of special events, including event concept, strategic design, sponsor, donor, and celebrity outreach, tracking attendees and sales, on-site support

-Oversee supporters in creating customized fundraising campaigns and community events

-Create and manage Project ALS fundraising outreach, including website maintenance and updates, email communications, social media, newsletter

-Interact with Board, donors, patients, scientists to create newsletters, press releases, website, presentations, blogs and podcast

-Track and analyze website and social media metrics to create a plan for increased donor engagement



-College graduate with a minimum of two years’ of non-profit or related experience

-Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

-Experience in the digital space, including managing websites, blogs, social media, and/or other online platforms

-Familiarity with basic HTML a plus


-Creative self-starter with strong organizational skills
