Together with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will provide vision and leadership for the organization, and will be responsible for the operation, fund development, programming and promotion, as well as the continuing design, development and sustainability of the park. As primary spokesperson, the Executive Director will embrace our mission and will clearly articulate this mission to build strong internal and external alliances.
Mill River Park Collaborative is a 501(c)3 non-profit and public/private partnership whose mission is to create and sustain a world-class urban park in Downtown Stamford, Connecticut. Under contract with the City of Stamford, the Collaborative is leading a more than $100 million project that will encompass the ecology of the river, cultural and educational elements and opportunities for fitness and recreation, changing the landscape and economic development of Stamford.
Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years' experience in a major leadership and staff management role required. Candidate must be experiences in fundraising, budgeting, capital project management and maintenance. Experience in the field of parks and public land is a plus. We are seeking a team builder with a strong commitment to working collaboratively with staff, board of directors, community and municipal partners and diverse stakeholders.
