Albany Law School is seeking an experienced chief development officer to be a dynamic leader and Vice President of its growing institutional advancement office.  As a member of the School’s executive team and reporting to the Dean of the Law School, the Vice President for Institutional Advancement will have significant experience and success in programmatic restructuring, implementing creative ways to engage alumni, strengthening annual programs, expanding and managing comprehensive major gift programs and capital campaign planning and implementation.

The Vice President for Institutional Advancement will be a critical member of the School’s executive management team. The responsibilities of this position will include, generally, the task of expanding the institution’s major gift program while realigning operational functions to enhance the performance of all advancement programming.  The ability to lead high performing teams in a collegial environment is essential for success and the Vice President for Institutional Advancement will be expected to develop strong relationships with other programs and senior leaders across the organization.

Specifically, this position will provide leadership to the Office of Annual Programs, Alumni Affairs, Advancement Operations and Major Gifts.  The new Vice President for Institutional Advancement will be responsible for making hires to expand the School’s major gift program in order to strengthen the office’s operational capabilities.
