For foundations in the future to be effective, they need to use all of their resources toward their mission, says Clara Miller, president of the F.B. Heron Foundation.
In this episode of the Business of Giving, Ms. Miller says foundations, now and in the future, should deploy 100 percent of their assets toward mission and fully integrate investment and grant-making staff into one seamless unit.
Ms. Miller says that foundations that don’t use 100 percent of their assets for mission aren’t adhering to their missions.
