How Direct-Mail Companies Are Central to Year-End Giving

With the holidays approaching, mail-processing facilities are busy sifting through thousands of pieces of mail for nonprofit clients.

In this episode of Fundraising Fundamentals, Bill Sayre, president of Merkle Response Management Groups, provides tips on what nonprofits can do to ensure their appeal is distributed on time and explains how his facility organizes donations.

Mr. Sayre says his 550 staff members sift through 150,000 to 175,000 pieces of mail from about 160 nonprofit clients every day.
