This month’s episode of Fundraising Fundamentals features a discussion with two experts who explain how to successfully transition from a live auction to a solely online event.
The transition to purely digital fundraising sales can be difficult, say Laurie Hochman, marketing coordinator at charity-auction organizer Auctria, and Gina Shugar, head of fundraising for the Calusa Elementary PTA in Calusa, Fla. But using data from past auctions and communicating effectively with donors and other participants can help improve and expand your event.
“The ability to run an auction live and in person is great,” Ms. Hochman says. “Being able to do it online gives you a much broader opportunity to access an audience and communicate with a whole lot of people in a very efficient manner.”
