In this episode of Fundraising Fundamentals, Michael Brennan, a program officer at the Ford Foundation who recentlyappeared on The Chronicle’s 40 Under 40 list of young people making their mark on the nonprofit world, discusses his journey to use his expertise in computer science to work on social-justice issues.
Despite being told by time and again that it couldn’t be done, Mr. Brennan continued to pursue his own path.
"If there is work that you want to do, if there is something you want to achieve, don’t wait for anyone to give you permission or a pass to do that work," he says. "Just start doing that work."
