A Vermont chapter of the Boys & Girls Clubs turned down a $2,250 donation from a local Hooters restaurant because the youth group didn’t want to be linked to the chain, which is most famous for its voluptuous waitresses, reports the Burlington Free Press. “Hooters just doesn’t seem consistent with their best interests as far as career choices, body images, things to be doing or consuming as someone who would go there. It doesn’t seem to be worth the money to send that message to the kids,” said Jeff Nolan, president of the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington.
